One system for an independent South Indian grocer: an in-store till and back office in daily use, plus an online shop and a customer app, all working from one catalogue.

The challenge
- The shop needed a till that gets prices, discounts and refunds right every time, because real takings depend on it.
- Products set up for the shop floor needed to be sold online too, without being managed in two places.
- Customers wanted to shop from their phones, at the same prices and stock as the shop.
The screens
Storefront. The storefront home page: search, next-day delivery terms, new-in products and the aisles.
Storefront on a phone. The same home page laid out for a phone, which is the layout the shop is designed for first.
Aisle. One aisle with sorting and the aisle list, with items added to the basket from the grid.
Till. The in-store till mid-sale: products by category on the left, the basket and total on the right.
Back office. The in-store back office dashboard showing the day's takings, split by payment method.
Customer app. The customer app's category screen, loading the same aisles from the same API as the website.
What we built
In-store till
A fast till for the shop counter, with barcode scanning, card and cash payments, refunds and printed receipts.
Back office
Products, stock, promotions and daily reports, managed from a browser.
Online shop
A phone-first storefront with search, aisles and card checkout, selling from the same catalogue as the till.
Customer app
A shopping app using the same aisles and prices as the website. Still in development.
